“Javelina” – Rehearsal Footage (FULL VIDEO)

Here’s the full rehearsal video of our song “Javelina” – shot February 12, 2014.

Lyrics:

Little pig, why do you shake?
The sun will rise in the East
A big shot can break a man
Send him off to sleep

A broken record on repeat!
Your replacement staring at your seat!
Dirty little peccary
In the sunshine

Telling lies through decent eyes
A most common trick
Throwing stones at the precious
There ain’t no easy fix

Dirty little thief
Dirty little dream

Why We Do What We Do

Earning a living by writing and performing original music is not the easiest road to travel – we can all agree on that. Yet, here we find ourselves, in our early 30’s, attempting to do just that.

So why bother? We aren’t getting any younger so why undertake such a risky endeavor?

Not only are we constantly met with resistance from a world that feeds us this image of creating a “safe life” (with the security of a good job, the health benefits they afford, the white picket fence, and the 2.5 children), but as artists/musicians we are also struggling to find our place in the world and prove to ourselves (and those around us) that the path we have chosen is the right one.

That might sound a bit odd to someone who isn’t a musician. But to us, we have a deeply ingrained belief that we have been called to make music.

We’ve all lead interesting lives – we’re no saints. You don’t exist for 3 decades and not have some pretty unique stories to share. But through all the craziness that has brought us to where we are now, we can all agree that we’d rather be here than anywhere else.

Music is an enigma.

Music can inspire and change lives.

How does something that is created out of nothing do this?

The journey to express ourselves artistically and inspire others is one that we take very seriously – after all, we’ve been inspired by those who have come before us. Were it not for their courage to stay true to themselves, and follow their own path, noisefeeder might not exist. We owe it to them, to the people that currently support us, and to the people who have never even heard of us, to stay true to our vision and give this everything we can.

noisefeeder: What exactly does it mean?

Well, it’s loosely based on the idea that loud, rock music is sometimes referred to as “noise”, and that everything we think, feel, and experience has to first be fed into our mind. Also, the alternate band names we came up with were all pretty terrible. And so, noisefeeder was born.

The 3 of us have been playing music for years. Sometimes in bands, sometimes at parties, sometimes alone at 3am with nothing more than an acoustic guitar. We’ve immersed ourselves to the point where making music is all we know – and all we want to know. The paths that led us to noisefeeder were so unbelievably disconnected for so long, it’s amazing for us to see how they ended up connected.

We hope to inspire you to follow your own path and hope you enjoy our music.

Stay tuned because we have big plans for 2014.
